Lena Nazaryan

Lena Nazaryan is an Armenian politician and a member of the National Assembly of Armenia. A prominent figure in the Civil Contract party, she played a significant role in the 2018 Armenian revolution, notably protesting the political transition of Serzh Sargsyan by igniting smoke flares in parliament. Before entering politics, she worked as a journalist for Hetq and served as an election program coordinator for Transparency International's Armenian branch. She has been recognized for her commitment to freedom of speech, receiving the Freedom of Speech Award in 2013.
