Lis McLean

Lis McLean is a Welsh politician representing Plaid Cymru who has served as a Member of the Senedd for the Pontypridd Cynon Merthyr constituency since May 2026. Before entering national politics, she studied economics at the University of Aberdeen and Swansea University. She previously served as the chief officer of the Merthyr Tydfil branch of Menter Iaith, where she also managed Theatr Soar, a community theatre and venue in Merthyr Tydfil. Her professional background combines economic expertise with extensive experience in community development and cultural management within Wales.
