Lorissa Sweet

Lorissa Sweet is an American politician and businesswoman currently serving as a member of the Indiana House of Representatives for the 50th district, having assumed office in November 2022. Prior to her legislative career, she served on the Wabash County Council from 2016 to 2022. A graduate of Purdue University with a degree in animal agribusiness, Sweet is also a small business owner. In the state legislature, she has focused on policy initiatives including the effort to restrict public funding for the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.
