Mankala Vaidya

Mankala Vaidya is an Indian politician currently serving as a Cabinet Minister in the Government of Karnataka and as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly representing the Bhatkal constituency. He began his political career as an independent candidate, winning his seat in the 2013 Karnataka Legislative Assembly elections. In 2014, he joined the Indian National Congress. Throughout his tenure, he has remained a prominent figure in the Uttara Kannada district, where he has continued to advocate for his constituents despite facing security challenges, including an assassination attempt in 2018.
