Maria Karapetyan
Profile
Maria Karapetyan is an Armenian politician and a member of the National Assembly of Armenia representing the Civil Contract party. Born in Vanadzor, she holds degrees in Intercultural Communication from Yerevan Brusov State University and studied International Cooperation and Human Rights at the University of Rome. Before entering parliament in 2018, she worked as a teacher and served on the editorial board for the Journal of Conflict Transformation. A prominent activist during the 2018 Armenian Revolution, she is known for her advocacy for gender equality and support for the LGBT community in Armenia.
