Masahiro Doi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Taketa City in Oita Prefecture, a position he has held since his first election in 2021. He was re-elected to a second term in 2025 after defeating a new challenger. Prior to his mayoral tenure, Doi served four terms as a member of the Oita Prefectural Assembly and two terms as a member of the Taketa City Council. An alumnus of Oita University, where he earned a degree in economics and completed a master's program, he also graduated from the Chuo Buddhist Academy. Throughout his political career, he has emphasized welfare policies as a core component of his governance.
