Matia Kasaija is a Ugandan politician who currently serves as the Member of Parliament for Buyanja County in Kibaale District. A long-serving figure in Ugandan politics, he previously held several high-level government positions, including Minister of Finance from 2015 to 2026, State Minister for Finance (Planning), and State Minister for Internal Affairs. Early in his career, he was involved in the National Resistance Army during the Ugandan Bush War and later managed the Departed Asians Property Custodian Board. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Nairobi.
