Matt Soper

Matt Soper is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Colorado House of Representatives, representing District 54, which covers parts of Mesa and Delta counties. First elected in 2018, he has consistently secured re-election in his district. Soper holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Colorado Mesa University, as well as an LL.B. and an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of Edinburgh, and an additional LL.M. in Intellectual Property Law from the University of New Hampshire. Outside of his legislative duties, he operates a research and writing firm called Oxford Strategies, LLC. In 2026, he announced his candidacy for the Delta County Board of County Commissioners.
