Michel Pélieu is a French politician who has served as the President of the Departmental Council of Hautes-Pyrénées since 2011. A member of the Radical Left Party, he previously served as the mayor of Loudenvielle from 1977 to 2011 and as a general councilor for the canton of Bordères-Louron starting in 1985. In 2017, he briefly served as a Senator for the Hautes-Pyrénées department following the death of François Fortassin. He was appointed an Officer of the Legion of Honour in 2014.
