Mohamed Gebran is an Egyptian politician and trade unionist who has served as the Minister of Labour of Egypt since July 2024. Prior to his ministerial appointment, he held significant leadership roles within the Egyptian labor movement, including serving as the President of the Egyptian Trade Union Federation starting in 2022. His career is deeply rooted in the petroleum sector, where he worked for over three decades, eventually rising to senior administrative positions at the Al-Amal Petroleum Company. He has also represented Egyptian labor interests internationally, including as a leader of the workers' delegation at the International Labour Organization conferences in Geneva.
