Born in 1974 in Malsch, she studied law at the universities of Konstanz and Ulm before pursuing a career in public administration and social policy. Prior to her election as mayor in 2023, she held various leadership roles, including serving as a department head for social affairs, youth, education, and sports in Pforzheim and later in Wolfsburg. She is a member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD) and assumed office as the Lord Mayor of Rastatt in December 2023.
