桜井森夫

Morio Sakurai is a Japanese politician currently serving his fifth term as the Mayor of Oyabe City in Toyama Prefecture. Born on January 28, 1954, he graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at Kyushu Sangyo University in 1978. He began his political career in 2002 when he was elected as a member of the Oyabe City Council. In 2006, he successfully ran for mayor, winning a competitive election, and has since been re-elected four consecutive times without opposition. He is the grandson of Yozo Sakurai, a former mayor of Oyabe.
