Motoshi Natsuno is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Imizu City in Toyama Prefecture, a position he has held since 2009. Born in 1972 in the former Daimon Town, he graduated from Tohoku University with a degree in civil engineering. Before entering politics, he worked in the construction industry. Natsuno began his political career as a member of the Toyama Prefectural Assembly, serving two terms before his election as mayor. Throughout his tenure, he has focused on local administration and crisis management, including implementing salary reductions for city officials to fund COVID-19 countermeasures.
