Manabu Nagai is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors and as Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. Born in Kofu, Yamanashi, he began his career as a broadcast journalist at FM Fuji before transitioning into politics as a secretary to a member of the House of Representatives. He served three terms in the Yamanashi Prefectural Assembly before being elected to the national Diet in 2022. Nagai is affiliated with the Liberal Democratic Party and has been active in regional development and infrastructure policy.
