Atsushi Nonaka is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Liberal Democratic Party. Born in Kazo, Saitama, he graduated from Keio University and worked in the construction industry before entering politics. He served two terms in the Saitama Prefectural Assembly before being elected to the national Diet. Throughout his career, he has held several government positions, including State Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, State Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
