Oh Itsukaichi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ninohe, Iwate Prefecture, having assumed office in January 2026. Born in Ninohe, he began his political career as a member of the Ninohe City Council, serving three terms starting in 1997. He later served six terms as a member of the Iwate Prefectural Assembly, where he held leadership positions including Vice-Chairman and Chairman of the assembly. Throughout his career, he has been affiliated with the Democratic Party of Japan but has also served as an independent candidate. He resigned from his prefectural assembly seat in 2025 to successfully run for mayor in the 2026 Ninohe mayoral election.
