Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane is a South African politician serving as the seventh Premier of the Eastern Cape since May 2019. A prominent member of the African National Congress (ANC), he previously served as the MEC for Economic Development, Environmental Affairs and Tourism and held leadership roles within the ANC provincial structure, including Provincial Secretary and Provincial Chairperson. Before entering politics, he worked as a businessman and consultant. He is a graduate of the University of Fort Hare, where he was active in student politics.
