Paula Wriedt

Paula Wriedt is an Australian politician who served as the Mayor of Kingborough from 2021 to 2026. Previously, she was a member of the Tasmanian House of Assembly representing Franklin from 1996 to 2009, during which time she held several ministerial portfolios including Education, Tourism, and Economic Development. After leaving state parliament, she served as the CEO of Cystic Fibrosis Tasmania and later returned to local government. Wriedt has identified as an independent since her departure from the Labor Party following her parliamentary resignation.
