Pralhad Joshi

Pralhad Joshi is an Indian politician serving as the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution and the Minister of New and Renewable Energy since 2024. A long-standing member of the Bharatiya Janata Party, he has represented the Dharwad constituency in the Lok Sabha since 2004, winning five consecutive terms. Previously, he held several key cabinet portfolios, including Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines from 2019 to 2024. Joshi began his political career as an activist with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and served as the BJP State President for Karnataka from 2014 to 2016.
