Réjean Aucoin

Réjean Aucoin is a Canadian politician who has served as a senator representing Nova Scotia since October 2023. Born and raised in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia, he pursued a career in law after completing his education. He earned a Bachelor in Social Work from the Université de Moncton in 1977 and later obtained a Bachelor of Laws from the same institution in 1991. Before his appointment to the Senate by Governor General Mary Simon on the advice of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Aucoin practiced law privately for three decades starting in 1993.
