R. Krishnaiah

R. Krishnaiah is an Indian politician and prominent social activist known for his long-standing advocacy for the rights of Backward Classes (BC), Scheduled Castes (SC), and Scheduled Tribes (ST). He previously served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from L.B. Nagar and held a seat in the Rajya Sabha representing the YSR Congress Party before resigning in 2024. Subsequently, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Throughout his career, he has spearheaded significant movements for educational reservations, hostel facilities for underprivileged students, and the implementation of Mandal Commission recommendations, earning him national recognition and several awards for his social justice contributions.
