R. M. Jayawardena is a Sri Lankan politician currently serving as a Member of Parliament representing the Monaragala Electoral District. Following his election in the 2024 parliamentary elections, he was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development. He is a member of the National People's Power coalition, which secured a significant mandate in the 17th Parliament of Sri Lanka.
