Richard Rybníček

Richard Rybníček is a Slovak politician and journalist who has served as the Mayor of Trenčín since 2010. Before entering local politics, he had a prominent career in media, serving as the director of TV JOJ and later as the general director of Slovak Television (STV). He also worked as a journalist for various outlets, including the daily newspaper SME and the news agency SITA. Rybníček holds a degree in television journalism from Comenius University in Bratislava and has completed political science studies in Bonn. He is known for his independent political stance and his extensive background in media management.
