Sarah Mateke Nyirabashitsi was a Ugandan politician and educationist who served as the woman representative for Kisoro District in the 11th Parliament of Uganda. Appointed by President Yoweri Museveni in 2021, she held the position of Minister of State for Gender, Labour and Social Development, with a focus on children and youth affairs. Before her political career, she was involved in family businesses and founded the Nyirabashitsi Foundation to support students. She passed away on September 7, 2024, at the age of 50.
