Sasmit Patra

Sasmit Patra is an Indian politician, academician, and lawyer currently serving as a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Odisha. A member of the Biju Janata Dal, he holds the position of Chief Whip for his party in the upper house and serves as a national spokesperson. With an extensive background in academia and law, he has previously worked on development projects with the UNDP and held various teaching and administrative roles, including serving as a dean at the Xavier-Emlyon Business School. Known for his active participation in parliamentary debates, he has been recognized for his high attendance and legislative contributions.
