Sevim Aydin is a German politician and lawyer who has served as a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2021. Born in Pülümür, Turkey, she moved to Berlin in 1978 and studied law at the Free University of Berlin before completing a master's degree in European Studies. Prior to her legislative career, she worked in labor and social law, trade union education, and victim protection within the Berlin administration. A member of the SPD since 2004, she previously served in the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district assembly from 2011 to 2021.
