Shihab bin Tariq Al Said

Shihab bin Tariq Al Said is an Omani royal and politician currently serving as the Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs. A member of the Omani royal family and brother to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq, he previously served as a Rear Admiral and head of the Royal Navy of Oman from 1990 to 2004. Beyond his military and governmental career, he has been a prominent business figure as the chairman of the Seven Seas Group and the Al-Seeb Club. He was appointed to his current ministerial position in March 2020, where he holds executive authority over the nation's military affairs.
