松木正一郎

Shoichiro Matsuki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Shimoda in Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in Shimoda in 1960, he graduated from Waseda University and initially worked in the construction industry as a site supervisor for infrastructure projects. He later joined the Shizuoka Prefectural Government, where he held various administrative roles, including positions in landscape development and crisis management. Matsuki was first elected mayor in 2020 and secured a second term in 2024. Outside of his political career, he is an aikido practitioner holding a third-degree black belt.
