Shuichi Yorishige is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Numazu in Shizuoka Prefecture. Born in 1968, he graduated from Nihon University with a degree in architecture and initially worked for the construction firm Hazama Corporation. He later served as a public secretary to a member of the House of Representatives before being elected to the Numazu City Council in 2003. During his tenure as a city councilor, he served as the council chair and held leadership roles in regional municipal associations. In 2018, he was elected Mayor of Numazu following the death of his predecessor and has since secured re-election, currently serving his third term in office.
