Silas Aogon is a Ugandan politician and accountant who has served as the Member of Parliament for Kumi Municipality since 2016. An independent politician, he has been a member of both the tenth and eleventh Parliaments of Uganda, where he serves on the Public Accounts Committee and the Committee on Natural Resources. Before his political career, Aogon worked in local government administration, including roles as an accounts assistant and stores assistant in the Bukedea and Kumi districts. He is a Certified Public Accountant and has been an active advocate for social protection, particularly regarding the welfare of the elderly and economic relief for citizens during the COVID-19 pandemic.
