Sonja Hoylaerts

Sonja Hoylaerts is a Belgian politician and independent member of the Parliament of the Brussels-Capital Region. Born in Etterbeek, she studied marketing in Leuven and previously worked as an entrepreneur in the hospitality and real estate sectors. She entered politics with Vlaams Belang and was elected to the Brussels Parliament in June 2024, focusing on housing, urban liveability, and ties between Brussels and Flanders, alongside serving as secretary in the Council of the Flemish Community Commission. In December 2024, she left Vlaams Belang to sit as an independent member.
