Tadashi Iwane is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kato City in Hyogo Prefecture. Born in 1955 in Kato, he graduated from Kobe University of Commerce and began his career in the Hyogo Prefectural Government in 1978. He later earned a degree from the Saitama University Graduate School of Policy Science and served in the former Ministry of International Trade and Industry before returning to the prefectural government. Prior to his election as mayor in 2022, he served as the Deputy Mayor of Kato City. He was re-elected for a second term in 2026, continuing his focus on regional revitalization and the continuation of previous municipal policies.
