Takeshi Kishimoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kinokawa City in Wakayama Prefecture. Born in 1970, he began his career as a teacher before entering national politics, serving one term as a member of the House of Representatives after being elected in 2003. He later transitioned to local government, serving four terms as a member of the Wakayama Prefectural Assembly, where he held positions including Vice-Chair and Chair. Elected as Mayor of Kinokawa in 2022, he was re-elected in 2026. His policy focus includes the development of the Keina-Wakayama-Kansai Airport connecting road to enhance regional infrastructure and economic connectivity.
