古川拓哉

Takuya Furukawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Niihama City in Ehime Prefecture. Born in Niihama, he graduated from Teikyo University and began his career working for various political offices, including those of a prefectural assembly member and a member of the House of Councillors. He served as a member of the Niihama City Council starting in 2007 and later as a member of the Ehime Prefectural Assembly for four terms, where he also held the position of Vice-Chairman. In November 2024, he was elected as the Mayor of Niihama City as an independent candidate.
