Tatsuya Saito is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ueda City in Nagano Prefecture. Born in Ueda in 1975, he graduated from the Tokyo University of Science and later earned a degree from the Toyo University Graduate School of Economics. Before entering politics, he worked at Toyota Tsusho and later managed a family-owned pharmacy. Saito began his political career as a member of the Ueda City Council, where he served two terms. In March 2026, he was elected as the Mayor of Ueda after defeating the incumbent, Yoichi Tsuchiya.
