谷ケ﨑照雄

Teruo Yagasaki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hidaka in Saitama Prefecture. Born in Hidaka in 1954, he began his career as a municipal employee in 1977 and later served as the city's deputy mayor. He was first elected mayor in 2012 following the death of his predecessor and has since secured re-election multiple times, including a fourth term in 2024. During his tenure, he has focused on fiscal management and corporate attraction, and in 2022, he implemented the Hidaka City Partnership and Familyship Oath System to support LGBTQ+ couples and their families.
