Born in 1972, he graduated from Keio University and later completed graduate studies at Meiji University. Before his election as mayor, he served as a member of the Katori City Council and the former Sawara City Council for multiple terms, where he also held the position of council chair. Elected mayor in 2022 and re-elected in 2026, his policy platform has focused on educational improvements, such as the introduction of nursing courses at local high schools and the implementation of free school lunches, while advocating for transparent municipal governance.
