吉平敏孝

Toshitaka Yoshihira is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sumoto, Hyogo Prefecture. Born in Sumoto in 1980, he graduated from the University of Tokyo's Faculty of Law and spent nearly two decades working at Mitsubishi Corporation before entering politics. He previously ran for the House of Representatives in 2024 and the House of Councillors in 2025 as a candidate for the Japan Innovation Party. In March 2026, he was elected as the Mayor of Sumoto as an independent candidate, defeating the incumbent. He is a single father of two sons.
