Velusami Radhakrishnan

Velusami Radhakrishnan is a Sri Lankan politician and the leader of the Up-Country People's Front (UCPF). He has served as a long-standing Member of Parliament representing the Nuwara Eliya District and has held various ministerial positions, including State Minister of Education and Deputy Minister of Botanical Gardens and Public Recreation. Throughout his career, he has been a member of several political alliances, including the Tamil Progressive Alliance and the United National Front for Good Governance. Radhakrishnan began his political journey in local government, serving as the chairman of the Nuwara Eliya Divisional Council in 1991 before moving to provincial and national politics.
