Wayne Harper

Wayne Harper is an American politician currently serving as a member of the Utah State Senate, representing District 16. A Republican, he previously served in the Utah House of Representatives from 1997 to 2012 and as a West Jordan City Councilman. Harper holds degrees from Brigham Young University and works as a business and economic development consultant. In 2024, he assumed the presidency of the National Conference of State Legislatures. Throughout his legislative career, he has focused on transportation policy, infrastructure, and economic development, notably sponsoring legislation regarding drone regulation and electric vehicle taxation.
