Born in 1973, he graduated from the Faculty of Law at Ryukoku University and previously worked as an employee at a non-life insurance company. He began his political career as a member of the Kizugawa City Council, serving two terms starting in 2015. In April 2023, he was elected as the Mayor of Kizugawa City, having received endorsements from the Liberal Democratic Party, Komeito, and the Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
