Yacine Oualid

Yacine El Mahdi Oualid is an Algerian politician and physician who currently serves as the Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries. Born in 1993, he earned a medical degree from the University of Sidi Bel Abbès in 2018. Before entering government, he was an entrepreneur in the technology sector, founding companies such as SSH and Smart Ways. Appointed as the Minister Delegate for Startups in 2020, he became the youngest member of the Algerian government at the time. He later served as the Minister of Vocational Training and Education before assuming his current cabinet position in September 2025.
