米本弥一郎

Yaichiro Yonemoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Asahi in Chiba Prefecture. After graduating from the Chiba Prefectural College of Agriculture, he worked as a farmer, taking over his family's business. He later pursued higher education at the Open University of Japan. Yonemoto began his political career as a member of the Asahi City Council, serving two terms starting in 2014. In 2021, he was elected Mayor of Asahi with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito, and he successfully secured re-election in 2025.
