Yasunobu Kumagai is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Tome, Miyagi Prefecture. Born in 1977 in Tome, he graduated from Senshu University's Faculty of Commerce. Before his election as mayor, he worked as a secretary for national lawmaker Masamitsu Oishi and served one term as a member of the Tome City Council starting in 2021. In April 2025, he was elected mayor after defeating the incumbent. His policy platform includes canceling plans for a regional exchange center and prioritizing the reform of the municipal hospital.
