臂泰雄

Yasuo Hiji is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Isesaki City in Gunma Prefecture. Born in Isesaki, he graduated from the University of Tsukuba. Before his election as mayor, he served two terms as a member of the Isesaki City Council and three terms as a member of the Gunma Prefectural Assembly. He was first elected mayor in January 2021 and secured a second term in January 2025 after running unopposed. Throughout his career, he has focused on local governance and community development within the Isesaki region.
