小桧山吉紀

Yoshinori Kohiyama is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Misawa in Aomori Prefecture. Born in 1950, he began his political career as a member of the Misawa City Council in 2000, followed by three terms as a member of the Aomori Prefectural Assembly. He was first elected mayor in 2019 after a competitive race and was re-elected unopposed in 2023. During his tenure, he has focused on local governance and fiscal responsibility, including measures such as reducing his own salary to support COVID-19 relief efforts.
