小池友妃子

Yukiko Koike is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hekinan, Aichi Prefecture. Elected in April 2024, she became the second female mayor in Aichi Prefecture. Before her mayoral tenure, she served two terms as a member of the Hekinan City Council, where she held various leadership roles including chair of the General Affairs and Education Committee. A graduate of Nihon University, she previously worked in the insurance industry and is a certified financial planner. As mayor, she has focused on addressing the city's fiscal challenges, including the declaration of a fiscal emergency in 2025 to manage rising maintenance costs for public facilities and hospital operations.
