山本幸靖

Yukiyasu Yamamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kaminoyama, Yamagata Prefecture. Born in Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, he graduated from the Aichi University Faculty of Law. Before entering politics, he worked in the private sector and later served as a career bureaucrat at the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism starting in 2000. He transitioned to local government in 2020 as the Deputy Mayor of Kaminoyama. In April 2023, he was elected as the Mayor of Kaminoyama as an independent candidate, receiving support from the Liberal Democratic Party, Komeito, and the Democratic Party for the People.
