Jacob Oboth-Oboth is a Ugandan lawyer and politician serving as the Speaker of the 12th Parliament of Uganda. First elected to Parliament in 2011 as an independent representative for West Budama County South, he later joined the National Resistance Movement. Throughout his legislative career, he has chaired several key committees, including the Committee on Legal and Parliamentary Affairs and the Committee on Natural Resources. He previously served as the State Minister for Defence from 2024 to 2026 and held various legal roles, including state attorney, before entering active politics.
